19 January 2015 - Day 35 - Pumps, Hoses and Buckets everywhere.

It was such a beautiful day this morning, so we ran some errands and headed out to the lot. That's 3 days in a row now.  My wife was convinced nobody was gonna be out there due to MLK day. Oh was she wrong...... the whole street was lined up with sub-contractor cars and trucks. As we pulled up, one guy was unloading a pile of load-bearing laminate wood off the flatbed.

Most of the water was pumped out of the trenches this morning so that the crew could continue building up the foundation. If I heard the PM right, he said flooring by weeks end. We'll probably check on the progress daily since it's gonna be nice during the week.

Some surface water remains. Most of it was pumped out as 80% of those cinder blocks were under water yesterday.

Hoses, pumps, buckets, and electrical cords all over the place.

This is the load-bearing wood laminate they dropped off.
